Robert Pattinson’s fiancée, Suki Waterhouse, prank-calls him, says they’re hosting “Love Is Blind” together

“Darling, have you gone mad?”

Robert Pattinson does not want to host Love Is Blind — even with his fiancée, Suki Waterhouse.

The “Memoir of a Sparklemuffin” singer recently gave her Batman beau a ring as part of Elle‘s “Phoning It In” prank call series, pretending that she’d received an offer to cohost the Netflix dating series.

The conversation got off to an unusual start, as Waterhouse greeted her partner, “Hi, my angel,” to which Pattinson responded, “Hey, darling. Did you call me brother?”

Waterhouse clarified the pet name mix-up, then launched into the gag. “You know that show Love Is Blind?”

“Yeah,” Pattinson replied.

“I just got offered to be the host for Love Is Blind,” Waterhouse said of the series, which is hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey in the U.S. and Matt and Emma Willis in the U.K. “Isn’t that so cool?”

But Pattinson might not know Love Is Blind after all. “Which one is Love Is Blind again?” he asked.

“We watched it a while ago,” Waterhouse responded. “They’re like, ‘Oh, are you my type? Are you my type?’ It’s quite deep, though. I feel like it’s a sociological experiment that’s actually quite beautiful.” (It remains unclear whether or not Pattinson actually remembers watching Love Is Blind — for all we know, he could have been distracted while exploding his microwave or rehearsing his next ridiculous movie voice.)

Pattinson did not seem enthused by Waterhouse’s announcement. “That’s interesting,” he said tepidly. “What an interesting turn of events.”

Waterhouse reiterated her excitement about the opportunity. “I just feel like it would be quite a good thing to do,” she said. “They were saying we could do it together as well, which I thought could actually be quite good.”

But the thought of being a part of the Love Is Blind equation was too much for the Lighthouse actor. “Darling, have you gone mad?” he asked.

“Don’t you think it would be quite good for us? It would be great for you,” Waterhouse replied, stifling a laugh.

“Are you joking? Is this whole thing a joke?” Pattinson inquired.

“Yeah,” she revealed.

Pattinson breathed a sigh of relief. “I was like, ‘If you think it’s right for you…’” he said.

“I know, you’re so sweet. I love you. Thank you,” Waterhouse responded.

That’s when it dawned on the Twilight star: “Wait, I’m not on some TV show, am I?”

Waterhouse reassured him, “No, you’re not on TV, no,” before adding, “You are gonna be on the internet, though.”

No! I don’t want to be!” Pattinson exclaimed.

Too late.
