Their last championship win was in 2010, but they won the 2020 NBA Championship by beating the Miami Heat.

After defeating the Trail Blazers twice, the Los Angeles Lakers will have a home game against the Houston Rockets on Sunday night. In the previous year, the Lakers finished as the seventh seed in the Western Conference, with 43 wins and 39 losses. They managed to win against the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors in the first two rounds of the NBA playoffs but were defeated by the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals.
