The Golden Bachelorette might have just wrapped up on TV, but winner Chock Chapple and lead Joan Vassos have been going strong since their Tahiti engagement in July 2024. And now, they are preparing to take the next big step.

Yes, the happy couple has actually started to look at places to live together. Instead of picking either Kansas or Maryland, the Golden couple has decided to venture to a new place.

Joan and Chock are heading to New York, or at least they have begun to look, and they are hoping to close on a deal before 2024 comes to an end. In order to get their dream NYC home, Joan and Chock decided to work with a real estate agent. The three scoured around Manhattan and checked out over 20 locations during the couple’s visit

Sharing the news on social media, the private school administrator and insurance executive were in the back of the taxi heading to the train station when they decided to make a video to share some updates. Joan revealed that the two were headed to Maryland, where Chock was going to see her house for the first time. They had been cooped up in “Happy Couple houses” in the Los Angeles area to keep their relationship under wraps before the show stopped airing.

“We went to Upper East Side, Upper West Side. We ended up in Tribeca, but the place we kinda settled on is Soho,” Joan divulged.

Chock had previously told Swooon that he wanted to “give the big city two years or something like that” in his youth, yet he “never did it.” That is why the engaged couple is excited to give it a go. “At this point in our lives, we can do it,” he said.

He also stated that neither one would give up their previous home. “We’re gonna maintain our houses in Kansas, Maryland, and then do the New York City deal. We’re just gonna have fun. We’re gonna live life,” he added.

Joan further explained, “Yeah, like being in Kansas and being Maryland, is to be with our friends and our family. But, you know, when we want to just have couple time, I think it’ll be probably New York City. It’s fun.”
