As the global pandemic plunges the world into economic uncertainty, the price of gold spikes to record highs. Combined with a plummeting price of fuel, a miner’s biggest expense, the 2020 mining season presents the opportunity of a lifetime. For the miners of GOLD RUSH, it means a race against the clock in pursuit of the biggest pay day of their lives.
The all-new season of GOLD RUSH premieres with a two-hour special Friday Oct. 23 at 8PM and will air Fridays at 8PM for the remainder of the season.

No Better Time To Strike Gold
Gold miners Parker Schnabel, Tony Beets, and Rick Ness face the worst time crunch ever as the gold fields opened a month late because of COVID-19 restrictions. This year four gold miners are battling time and the elements in hopes of finding millions. As essential workers, these gold miners are facing their toughest season ever as they go up against a global pandemic.
Parker Schnabel, already late to the Klondike sets out with a goal is to dig enough gold to expand his operation with new ground. The only way to make up for lost time is to double down on running two enormous mining operations. It’s up to Parker’s crew to keep the operation running while he heads out to prospect new ground. Co-foremen Mitch and Brennan must battle breakdowns and disasters to reach their goal.
Klondike legend Tony Beets is also ready for a monster season despite missing last year’s goals. The success of the Beets’ family operation depends on finding gold at the last of the virgin ground on Paradise Hill and mining a massive mega cut. It will take an amazing feat of engineering that require moving more tons of earth than ever before.
After barely breaking even last year, Rick Ness can’t afford another meager season. Even with years of experience, half of Rick’s crew called it quits, putting his mining career on the line. Still optimistic, Rick head to new ground in Keno with remaining crew members Karla and Kruse. Without a massive cleanup, Rick could lose his last shot at striking it rich in gold.
As millions face unemployment due to a pandemic, veteran and rookie miner Fred Lewis heads to the mountains of Oregon to find a gold mine of his own. Joined by a band of down on their luck ex-servicemen and women, the crew hope to find fortune. With nothing to lose and everything to gain, Fred and his team of novice miners believe they have what it takes to become the American dream.
