Ayesha Curry and Steph Curry are proud parents of three children. Their eldest, Riley, is now a delightful 10-year-old, followed by Ryan, a bubbly seven-year-old, and the youngest, Canon, an adorable four-year-old. Reflecting upon their parenting journey, Ayesha Curry admits that she and her husband could have taken a different approach to social media when it came to raising Riley. In the early days of Steph’s career with the Golden State Warriors, Riley frequently delighted fans with her appearances alongside her father, even joining him in joyous post-game celebrations.
Now, Riley’s parents are questioning whether it was the proper decision to publicly showcase their child, considering the evolving nature of social media throughout the years.
Reflecting on the early days of social media, Ayesha Curry expressed her uncertainty during an interview with Insider, acknowledging that nobody foresaw its immense growth and impact.
“If we had foreseen the eventual mayhem it would unleash upon our lives, I highly doubt we would have taken that leap. However, at that time, we were simply flowing with the rhythms of life and thinking, ‘This is our child, and we’re embarking on this journey together.’
“But where can we find a middle path, where we can be firm yet still afford our children the chance to explore life’s marvels?
“We’re grappling with discovering that equilibrium, understanding that it’s a process of trial and error. Just like a constant learning curve, isn’t it?”
