NBA Gossip: LeBron James Quietly Mulling over Lakers Fans’ Support and Approval.

During his time with the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James has created many memorable moments, although he initially had doubts about whether fans would accept him. According to a report by ESPN’s Bobby Marks and Dave McMenamin, James was unsure if the passionate Laker Nation would fully welcome him, especially considering his past matchups with Kobe Bryant.

When James made the decision to join the Lakers in the summer of 2018, there were many speculations about how Kobe Bryant’s fans would react to his arrival. However, James made it clear that for him, being a Lakers fan means supporting the team above all else, and his goal is winning championships. Despite efforts by Nike to create a rivalry between James and Bryant in 2009 through puppet commercials, there was never a real competition between them as they never faced off in the NBA Finals.

James and the Cleveland Cavaliers came up short in the Eastern Conference Finals, causing things not to work out. Meanwhile, Bryant guided the Lakers to an NBA championship by defeating the Orlando Magic in the Finals.

Since moving to Los Angeles, James has made his mark by leading the team to a championship in the 2019-20 season. He even surpassed Lakers great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the leading scorer in NBA history on February 7, 2023.

During a recent game against the Denver Nuggets, James achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first player in NBA history to score 40,000 career points.
