Paul, a veteran point guard, is set to earn $30.8 million in the 2023-24 season, which makes him the third highest-paid player of the Warriors behind the ‘Splash Brothers’.
Draymond Green will be returning to the team with a new four-year contract worth $100 million, joining Andrew Wiggins, Gary Payton II, Kevin Looney, Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody. The Warriors have also added point guard Cory Joseph and veteran Croatian player Dario Saric to their big-man rotation. However, despite the approval of Steph Curry and other veteran teammates, the team has decided not to sign Dwight Howard for the 2023-24 roster.
Despite being seen working out with notable NBA players such as Chris Paul and Draymond Green on social media, there was hope that Dwight Howard would make it to the Golden State Warriors roster. However, the Warriors management decided against this and released him from the team. Following this news, Howard posted a tweet on X which read, “Only as a WARRIOR can one withstand the path of knowledge. A WARRIOR cannot complain or regret anything. His life is an endless challenge. And challenges cannot possibly be good or bad. Challenges are simply challenges.”
As per Shams Charania’s report in the Athletic, the Golden State Warriors aimed to acquire a wing player instead of a center like Dwight Howard, which resulted in his exit from their radar.

His efforts were compensated with $200,000, and his impressive performance earned him the title of All-Star. Additionally, he proved to be the best rebounder in the league during the 2022-23 season.
